A series of small road cuts of lower Boyle Formation (Middle Devonian: Givetian) near Waco, Kentucky, has produced numerous specimens of three blastozoan clades, including both “anachronistic” diploporan and rhombiferan “cystoids” and relatively advanced Granatocrinid blastoids. This unusual assemblage occurs within a basal grainstone unit of the Boyle Limestone, apparently Cited by: 7. 3 Ammonicrinus wanneri SPRINGER, Figur * Ammonicrinus wanneri SPRINGER, S. 22, Taf. 6, Fig. v non Ammonicrinus wanneri KRAUSE, S. , Taf. 6. This Index is dedicated to the late Dr. Frank Springer, eminent world authority on Paleozoic crinoids and former honorary Associate in Paleontology in the United States National Museum.

It was Doctor Springer’s earnest desire that a bibliography of all fossil Pelmatozoa should be made available to students, and it is in recognition of this wish that the present work covering the Paleozoic species. Bibliographic and faunal index of Paleozoic pelmatozoan echinoderms / by R.S.

The new taxon most closely resembles P. contractus (Gilbertson), which is adequately described for the first time by: Audio Books & Poetry Community Audio Computers & Technology Music, Arts & Culture News & Public Affairs Non-English Audio Spirituality & Religion.

The fauna is mostly echinoderms (cystoids, crinoids, blastoids, and cyclocystoids), but other invertebrates (notably corals, trilobites, and brachiopods) are frequently found. Caryocrinitid cystoids were collected from loose material and in place by the author from two localities in the vicinity of St.

Paul. There are over microscopical foraminiferan, echinoderm and other preparations in the collection. The majority of these were left to Sladen by Drs W. and P.

Carpenter. The foraminiferan slides, in particular, must be ranked with equal importance to the echinoderms. The Sladen library contains over specialist books and by: 2.
